Wreckage Of Missing US Marine Helicopter Spotted In Nepal Mountains

Marine Corps helicopter carrying six Marines and two Nepalese soldiers in mountains east of Kathmandu. According to the reports, a Nepali army helicopter spotted it in the Gorthali area, at an altitude of 11,200 feet. The helicopter was reported missing while delivering disaster aid in northeastern Nepal, U.S since Tuesday, officials said. According to the US offcials the plane was facing fuel issues as overheared by nearby Indian helicopter but soon went out of radar. The aircraft was part of Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 469. There are about 300 U.S. troops in Nepal assisting with the rescue mission, using a variety of aircraft including three Hueys, four Ospreys and several cargo planes.
