Thousands of women around America came to the streets to support female empowerment and denounced President Donald Trump’s views on immigration, abortion, LGBT rights (Laws affecting lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) and women’s rights for 2018 Women's March on Saturday.

Demonstrators surged into the streets of American cities across the country with parallel rallies in Europe, Asia and Africa turning the event into a global affair. It was estimated that over 100,000 people attended the New York rally and that some 300,000 showed up in Los Angeles.

In Los Angeles, Eva Longoria, Natalie Portman, Viola Davis, Alfre Woodard, Scarlett Johansson, Constance Wu, Adam Scott and Rob Reiner were among the celebrities who addressed thousands of demonstrators during the protest.

Indian also didn't fail in delivering their contribution to the cause as Sikh Americans were seen serving Langar (free food and water) to the women participants. The Langar tradition expressed the key Sikh principles of love and service.

As per reports, more rallies are planned at other cities in the US on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Trump on Saturday tweeted that it was a “perfect day” for women to march to celebrate the “economic success and wealth creation” that’s happened during his first year in office.
