US President Donald Trump Announces 'Fake News Award' Winners, CNN Featured 4 Times!

US President Donald Trump has extensively spoken out against 'fake news' and 'fake media' preferring to use Twitter as a means to communicate with the public as compared to the traditional forms of press conferences.

In a move to once again highlight 'fake news' and 'fake media', Trump announced the winners of 'The Highly-Anticipated 2017 Fake News Awards' in a tweet, adding a link to a post on the Republican party GOP blog.

Announcing the award winners, the blog said, "2017 was a year of unrelenting bias, unfair news coverage, and even downright fake news. Studies have shown that over 90% of the media’s coverage of President Trump is negative," before announcing the 11 winners.

Among the list of the 11 winners, CNN is featured 4 times and The New York Times appears twice while the Time magazine and the Washington Post also make an appearance. From the 11 'winners' 10 are instances of 'fake news' reported by specific media, while the 11th award is for overall media reporting on the 'Russian Collusion'.

In addition to the 10 Fake News 'winners' the GOP blog also listed a series of 10 achievements of the Trump administration, citing increased employment, tax cuts and retreat of ISIS.
