Ramzan: #Mecca_Live Takes Virtual World By Storm

Snapchat on Monday night honoured the religion of Islam by providing live feed from the holy Kaaba. The event marked as the 'Laylat Al Qadr' or 'Night of Power' which is traditionally celebrated on 27th night of every Ramzan. The occasion commemorates the night, when the Quran was first revealed to the Prophet Muhammad(PBUH). The Snapchat #mecca_live clip that changed hearts of millions in a couple of minutes. The #Mecca_live kept trending throughout the night across the globe on Twitter which attracted whole lot of attention and admiration from everyone but more specifically from the non-Muslims, helping them in knowing the true face of Islam which has been maligned by the acts of terrorist groups like ISIS. The Live section of Snapchat was launched in August last year as a way of letting users create and view public photos and videos taken at the same live event. The only requirement is that users are supposed to to turn on location services in order to verify that the they are truly where they say they are.
