A high intensity explosion shook Parachinar city on Friday, resulting in 5 deaths and 30 casualties. The blast occurred in central part of Parachinar City, near the gate of Imambargah.
According to police reports the people who were injured in the attack are being given medical care and an emergency has been declared in all the hospitals. The experts are trying to collect evidence from the site of explosion.

In a report given by a Pakistan daily, 'the countrywide military operation – ‘Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad’, or ‘Elimination of evils’ – had been launched days after a series of deadly militant attacks killed more than 115 people across Pakistan in just over a week, including civilians, policemen and soldiers.'
Parachinar has been struck by terrorist attack once before on January 21 in which 25 were reported dead and 65 civilians died in the explosion that occurred near a market place in the northwestern area of the city of Parachinar.
