The world watched in excitement and amazement as North Korean Supremo Kim Jong Un met South Korean President Moon Jae-In on Friday. A mere prediction of such an event would have been considered foolish few months back.

To top it up, both nations resolved to work towards achieving permanent peace and complete denuclearization of Korea. The video of both leaders shaking hands went viral and was dubbed as ‘The handshake that made history’.

Following the success, several people have begun demanding that United States’ President Donald Trump be awarded the Nobel Prize for his contributions and efforts in forging peace between the two nations.

Crediting Donald Trump for bringing Kim Jong-Un to the negotiating table South Korea’s Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha said, “Clearly credit goes to President Trump.”

Ahead of the meet Eurasia Group President Ian Bremmer had tweeted, “Trump, Xi, Moon and Kim together get my vote for the Nobel Peace Prize.”

As the two leaders met in Panmunjom, Korean lawmaker Saribi tweeted, “President Donald Trump, thanks to you, the spring of peace is on the Korean peninsula. Thank you. Please help us to establish peace on the Korean Peninsula in the future. The Korean people support you. Nobel Peace Prize winner ,,, Good luck with you!”

Former Congressman Joe Walsh wrote, “If Obama received a Nobel Peace Prize for doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, President Trump's role in bringing the leaders of North and South Korea together, should put him under consideration for one.”

Senator Lindsay Graham who previously said that Trump was unfit for his office has tweeted in his support.
