Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday said that he was really disappointed with India’s response to reinitiate the bilateral talks for better neighbouring relationships.

Pakistan Prime Minister Khan wrote on Twitter, "Disappointed at the arrogant and negative response by India to my call for the resumption of the peace dialogue, However, all my life I have come across small men occupying big offices who do not have the vision to see the larger picture."

Indian External Affairs Ministers Sushma Swaraj and her Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi were slated to meet on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York next week.

The Indian government on Friday called off the meeting between the External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi amidst tensions on the Line of Control.

Confirming the cancellation of the meeting, Spokesperson of the External Affairs Ministry Raveesh Kumar said, “Since yesterday's announcement of meeting of foreign ministers of India & Pakistan, 2 deeply disturbing developments took place, Latest brutal killings of our security personnel by Pakistan entities and the recent release of series of 20 postal stamps by Pakistan glorifying terrorists.”

Kumar further added, “It's obvious that behind Pakistan's proposal for talks to make a fresh beginning, evil agenda of Pakistan stands exposed & true face of new Prime Minister of Pakistan has been revealed to world in his first few months in the office.”
