Faux pas after faux pas, to the extent that now we have got used to them making embarrassing social errors. But, what if we told you a minister in Jharkhand gave a floral tribute to former President of India APJ Abdul Kalam at an event in a school in Kodarma; Kalam is very much alive and kicking. The photo, taken at a school in the state's Hazaribagh district where the minister was the chief guest, has gone viral. According to reports, Jharkhand Education Minister Neera Yadav paid her respects to the Kalam by putting a garland around his framed photograph with a coconut placed in front of it as though she was giving him sharaddhanjali. When Yadav was apprised of her faux pas instead of acknowledging her mistake she said this was her way of paying respect to great leaders by garlanding their photos. Surely, this was not expected of an Education minister. Ma'am, floral tributes are not meant for people who are alive. Period
