Twitterati Hit Back On Mumbai Principal's Cure For Ovary Diseases: Wearing Salwar Kameez[/caption]
A shocking statement from the principal of an Bandra-based government-run polytechnic college, saying that girls are likely to have healthier ovaries if they wear 'suitable' clothes has led to a swift response from twitterati who trended the hashtag #DressLikeAnIndianWoman introduced by journalist Rituparna Chatterjee.
After introducing gender segregation in its canteen to 'curb' sexual harassment, Principal Swati Deshpande is planning to introduce a 'suitable' uniform for the girl students who currently wear the same uniform as boys, of a white shirt and black trousers.

"I have heard theories on why girls suffer from PCODs (Poly Cystic Ovarian Diseases) at an early age. When they dress like men, they start thinking or behaving like them. There is a gender role reversal in their head. Due to this, the natural urge to reproduce diminishes right from a young age and therefore they suffer from problems like PCODs" said Principal Swati Deshpande.
