Bhartiya Janta Party National Spokesperson Sambit Patra on Thursday slammed Rahul Gandhi’s address in Germany.

Patra wrote on Twitter, “Horrified to hear Congress President RahulG justifying the formation of ISIS in Syria and giving out a veiled threat that if Modiji doesn’t “give vision” to India then soon someone else(read ISIS) would give the vision. Unbelievable, He’s a PM aspirant?”

Author Tavleen Singh also criticized Congress President’s statements and said, “Rahul Gandhi wins first prize for finding absurd reasons for the lynching epidemic. He tells a German audience that it is the fault of demonetization and GST which created mass unemployment. Really? Seriously?

Ankur Singh said, "Mohammad Rafi Bhat was Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology in University of Kashmir. Left his job as to become a Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist. Rahul Gandhi says lack of jobs is the reason behind people joining ISIS."

Priti Gandhi, BJP Mahila Morcha Social Media Incharge said, "He's done it again!!! On a two-day visit to Germany, Rahul Gandhi has issued a shocking statement justifying the creation of ISIS - While addressing a gathering at Bucerius Summer School in Hamburg, Rahul Gandhi said that lack of jobs created ISIS!"

Congress President Rahul Gandhi, currently on a 4 day tour of the UK and Germany on Wednesday addressed a gathering at the Bucerius Summer School in Germany's Hamburg, where he outlined the situation in India, as well as the effects of recent government initiatives.

"It is very dangerous in the 21st century to exclude people. If you don't give people a vision in the 21st century somebody else will give them one," he said.

He cited the example of the Islamic State, saying that when a US law excluded a certain Iraqi tribe from joining government services after the Iraq War, it created an insurgency which eventually led to the formation of the terror group.
