Fitness is a crucial part of being healthy, regardless of whether a person is famous or a layman. Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, who is also an Olympic medalist, on Tuesday launched a fitness challenge #HumFitTohIndiaFit, urging people to shoot a video of their own "fitness mantra"' and fitness routine and share it.

Rathore tagged Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan, cricketer star Virat Kohli and badminton champion Saina Nehwal and since then there has been no looking back. The challenge spread like wildfire, and as Virat Kohli posted his own video regarding his fitness routing, he tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi, wife and actress Anushka Sharma and former India cricket captain MS Dhoni. PM Modi accepted the challenge, adding that he would post his video later on.

Others joining the challenge include actor Tiger Shroff, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister Piyush Goyal, Union Minister Jayant Sinha, PV Sindhu, wrestler Babita Phogat and PT Usha.

Apart from famous celebrities, the challenge was embraced by the public as well. The challenge embraces the versatilitity of fitness, with there being numerous ways for a person to be fit, whether it's by cycling, streching, push-ups, yoga or more.

PM Modi's quick acceptance of the challenge from Virat Kohli was slammed by Tejashwi Yadav who in turn challenged PM Modi to "provide jobs to young, relief to farmers, promise of no violence against dalits and minorities."
