Uttar Pradesh: 3 Arrested As Maulvi Refuses To Sing National Anthem [WATCH]

The police on Wednesday arrested three people for dishonoring the national anthem in Uttar Pradesh’s Maharajganj.

While the Nation was lost in the wave of patriotism and national pride on 72nd Independence Day on Wednesday, a shocking video surfaced the internet.

In the video, it can be seen that the Maulvi after hoisting the national flag refuses to sing the national anthem. Although the teachers insisted on singing the national anthem, yet the Maulana did not let them do so and told the children to vacate the place. However, police said that students did sing the national anthem afterward.

When the flag was hoisted by the Maulvi, a person said that all should stand in attention as the national anthem would follow but the Maulvi refuses and says that we don’t sing the national anthem and everyone should sing Sare Jahan se Achcha.

The Madrasa Arbia Ahle Sunnat Anwaare Taiba Girls College Badgo at which the incident took place falls under the jurisdiction of Kolhui police station. The main accused is identified as Junaid, however, the police have arrested two more people in the case. All the three accused have been charged with Section 124A, 153B.
