The legend S. P Balasubhramanyam turned 72 on Monday, a man who has been the voice of many incredible superstars such as Sanjay Dutt and Kamla Hassan and has scored great hits with them but he definitely had a special connection with the BHAI of bollywood –the one and only Salman Khan.

Just like Kishore kumar with the legendary Rajesh Khanna, S.P.B used to be identified as the voice of Salman back in the days when Salman began his career including his debut and his big hit Hum Aapke Hain Kaun. The singer lent his manly yet soulful voice to Salman Khan which created magic on the screen. He has also sung a playful song for Salman in the movie Andaz Apna Apna – Ye raat aur ye duri and did justice to the character.

S.P. Balasubhramanyam is known for his versatile and melodious singing with his talent of blending the emotions of the song with the melody. He has sung more than 40,000 songs in different languages such as Telugu , Kannada , Hindi, Malayalum. He has sung 4,000 songs in Kannada alone.

Honoured with the Guinness World Record for singing and recording most number of songs, he has won six National awards for playback singing.
