The second song from Alia Bhatt starrer Raazi 'Dilbaro' was released on Thursday, and the touching, soothing song has increased anticipation for the film even more. The song is melodious with poetic lyrics and captures beautifully the moment a girl becomes a bride and leaves her parent's home for the first time.

Sung by Harshdeep Kaur with lyrics by Gulzar and music composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy,'Dilbaro' is depicted on the lead actress Alia Bhatt and her wedding. The song depicts the emotions Alia's character 'Sehmat' goes through, as she gets married and leaves her parents behind.

Although 'Dilbaro' is a song any bride can relate to, the pain Sehmat goes through is compounded, since she is an Indian spy getting married to a well-placed Pakistani army officer, played by Vicky Kaushal, upon whom she has to spy. The pain of her father, played by Rajit Kapoor, is also evident, since not only is he sending away his daughter, but he is sending her on a dangerous mission to Pakistan.

The song reminded Alia of her own father, as she said in a tweet, "Dilbaro is a song that made me tear up the first time I heard it.. the lyrics are simple, powerful and just beautiful. Written by the maestro Gulzar Saab. I couldn’t help but think of my father who’s held my hand but also let my fly.. my most special friendship! Love you papa.”

The song was shared by Karan Johar, co-producer of the film, as he tweeted, "My favourite track in #RAAZI ....a father daughter connect is behind special....#dilbaro beautifully express that connect.....a wedding song with soul."

The film Raazi is based on the book 'Calling Sehmat' and is a true story of a Kashmiri spy who married a Pakistani man during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. The film is releasing on May 11.
