PM Narendra Modi used the popular punch line "How's the josh?" from the Bollywood movie 'Uri' during his speech at the inauguration of National Museum of Indian Cinema in Mumbai on Saturday drawing laughter and applause.

In the viral video of the incident, members of the film fraternity can be heard saying, "High sir". '

Uri' is based on the surgical strikes carried out by the Indian forces in Pakistan in 2016. The film also has a character based on PM Modi.

Yami Gautam and Vicky Kaushal, who are part of the film, took to Twitter to express their happiness.

“Nowadays, this josh (enthusiasm) of yours is a hot topic of discussion across the country. For the building of ‘New India,’ this josh is of vital importance,” the PM added.

The prime minister was addressing a gathering of film personalities after the inauguration where he praised the film industry for bringing the changes in the movies.

As for 'Uri', although the Bollywood film has been dubbed as a propaganda movie by some commentators, many neutral observers have said that it doesn't promote any political party.
