News World India journalist Pranjali Singh in an exclusive interview with former President of Pakistan General Pervez Musharraf discussed his fondness for cricket, recent spate of ceasefire violations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Pakistan as a 'superpower'.

Musharraf, who is facing treason charges in Pakistan for imposing emergency rule in November 2007, has been living in Dubai since 2016 and addressed the interview remotely, in the wake of tense relations between India and Pakistan.

Speaking to NWI, Musharraf emphasised the importance of modesty and that even if a 'country' considers itself a superpower it should not attempt to overpower others. Admitting that Pakistan is currently not a superpower, he said that Pakistan is still no small force.

On the equation between India and Pakistan, Musharraf said that sometimes one country may be up, other times another may become higher, comparing the situation to cricket, on how the ranking of teams can change.
