The late Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray has changed the face of politics in Maharashtra with his exemplary leadership skills and protective nature for his people. Bringing the extraordinary journey to screen must have been a task but Shiv Sena's Rajya Sabha lawmaker Sanjay Raut has accomplished the goal with his determination and support from the fellow party workers.

The former controller of Mumbai might have paid adieu to the world long back but his memories are still fresh in the hearts of his millions of admirers and followers. To honour the politician's spirit and ideology of "sons of the soil" which he supported till his last breath, a biopic on his life is all ready to hit the theatres with the versatile actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead role.

The 43-year-old actor took the larger-than-life teaser to Twitter on Thursday with the inspiring caption  reading, "It’s an honour and pride to portray the Real King of the Country on Screen." Nawaz further thanked Balasaheb's son and the current chief of Shiv Sena, Uddhav Thackeray for his unparallel support and help during the film's making.

The one-minute-and-forty-second-long teaser takes a dramatic opening with the wailing of an infant echoing in a poorly structured background. Soon the child comes on screen and along comes the visuals of carefree people pushing past the little child. The scene switches to the dramatic introduction of Balasaheb Thackery portrayed by Nawazuddin and his signature greeting posture for his followers.

Helmed by Abhijit Panse, the multi-lingual film is scheduled to release on January 23, 2019, which also marks the 93rd birth anniversary of Bal Thackeray.
