‘Mere Pyare Prime Minister’ Trailer: Little Boy Set Out On A Journey In Search Of Answers

Makers of ‘Mere Pyare Prime Minister’ released the trailer of the film on recently on social media platforms and it is getting a lot of appreciation from the netizens.  

The trailer gives a sneak peek into the plot of the film which follows the journey of Kanhu, a slum boy, who lives with his single mother Sargam (played by National Award-winning actress Anjali Patil) in a village with no toilet facilities.

After Sargam is raped on her way to relieving herself in the open, Kanhaiya decides to take matters into his own hands. He writes a letter to the prime minister and travels to the capital city with his friends to make himself heard.

The film deals with the sensitive issue of open defecation in India by narrating the story of an 8-year-old.

B-Town celebs like Farhan Akhtar, Sonam K Ahuja, Bhumi Pednekar, Divya Dutta and Virendra Sehwag gave big thumbs up to the trailer on social media expressing their views about the same.

The cast also includes Atul Kulkarni, who plays an official at the Prime Minister’s Office who helps the young boys from Mumbai navigate their way through the corridors of power.

The music of the film is given by Shankar Ehsan Loy and lyrics by Gulzar. Dr. Jayantilal Gada (Pen) and PVR Cinemas present, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's directorial Mere Pyare Prime Minister is all set to release on 15th March 2019.
