Kesari Song 'Teri Mitti': Akshay Kumar-Parineeti Chopra's Chemistry Takes The Centre Stage

The makers of Kesari released a new song from the album of the film on Friday, titled 'Teri Mitti' and it is probably the heart-and-soul of the film as it shows Akshay Kumar’s love for his wife as well as his dedication towards his motherland.

It is a heartwrenching composition that will definitely give you goosebumps when you hear it. The song is composed by Arko with lyrics by Manoj Muntashir. B Praak has given the voice to the track.

The video opens with slow-motion shots of the battle in the movie. It plays to an emotional mood with the video, focussing on a soldiers’ life, his feelings for the country, his love and more. The lyrics, on the other hand, focus on patriotism.

We get to see Akshay and Parineeti getting married and their love story. The tender moments between the two are shown beautifully in the song. When Akshay’s mother in the film bids him goodbye as he leaves for his post it brings a lump to one’s heart knowing that this the last time she is seeing her son.

The story of Kesari revolves around the 21 Sikhs who fought till their last breath for their motherland against 10,000 Afghan invaders. This battle is widely known in our history and is known as the Battle of Saragarhi which was fought between Sikh soldiers of the British Indian Army and Pashtun Orakzai tribesmen on September 12, 1897.

The period drama has been produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and has been reportedly made on a budget of Rs 60 crore. The film will hit the theatres on March 21.
