A group of Kanwad vandalized a car in the Moti Nagar area of the national capital on Tuesday. It is alleged that the car had hit one of the yatri, however, no legal case has been registered.

While speaking to News World India, a senior police official said, “Prima facia, there was an argument between the yatris and the car owner and the owner thrashed one of the yatri, the group in return vandalized the doors and windows of the car. The car owner does not want any legal action, hence no complaint has been registered.

According to reports, the pilgrims had blocked the road almost completely. When the car touched one of them, the group stopped it and broke its windows and doors with rods and sticks before turning it on its side. They also got into a scuffle with the male companion of the woman who was driving the car, and allegedly threw stones at them as they tried to escape.

However, this incident is serious blow to the police arrangements and raises questions on the administration's action plan to maintain a smooth flow of the Kanwar Yatra without disrupting the movement of usual traffic.
