International Dance Day 2018: 6 Iconic Bollywood Songs Choreographed By Legends

Dance is a form to express feelings. International Dance Day is a Global dance celebration created by the Dance Committee of the International Theatre Institute (ITI). The event takes place on April 29 every year all over the world and encourages participation and education in dance.

To publicise the day, the theatre institute selects an author to share a message every year. Last year, Trisha Brown from the USA shared the message at the event. This year five message authors were selected to share the message at the event as it’s the 70th anniversary of (ITI).

In Bollywood, many renowned dance choreographers like Remo D’souza, Ganesh Acharya, Terence Louis, Geeta Kapur, Saroj Khan, Farah Khan among others have choreographed some iconic songs while contributing to the evolution of dance in India.

To mark the occasion of International Dance Day, we have gathered some iconic dance numbers for you:

Chaiyya Chaiyya, the iconic song from the movie Dil Se was choreographed by Farah Khan in 1998.

Dola Re Dola from Devdas (2003) was choreographed by Saroj Khan, who is also known as Master Ji in the industry.

Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai (1993) from the film Khalnayak was also choreographed by Saroj Khan.

Dholi Taaro Dhol Baje from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999) was choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant.

Main Aisa Kyun Hu from Lakshaya (2004) was choreographed by Prabhu Deva. He is also known as the Michael Jackson of India.

Bezubaan Phir Se from ABCD 2 (2015) was choreographed by Prabhudeva and Remo D'Souza.
