"For 200 years we stood up for the British national anthem, until, one man's dream, made the British stand up for our anthem," the teaser says.

The teaser rouses patriotism and has promised to take us back in time by making us feel what us Indians used to feel back in the days during the British reign.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took on his twitter and shared the teaser.

The movie 'Gold' is about India's first Olympic medal win as a free nation in the year 1948 at the Games of XIV Olympiad, London. Gold also features Kunal Kapoor, Sunny Kaushal, and Amit Sadh in pivotal roles. Gold also marks the debut of tv actress Mouni Roy. The movie is directed by Reema Kagti, who previously directed movies like  Honeymoon Travels and Talaash.

In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, the director Reema when asked about the movie said that she met the assistant manager of the 1936 Indian Olympic squad who then became the manager of the team, which won India its first Olympic gold.

"His life has loosely inspired Akshay Kumar’s character who, in a bid to galvanise the players in Berlin, pulls out the flag of the Indian National Congress in the locker room during half-time. The flag was banned in Germany at the time but still inspired respect and all the players saluted it. That incident is a defining moment in the inception of my film," said Reema.
