Aamir Khan who is currently busy shooting for his upcoming film 'Thugs Of Hindostan' is taking some time off from the shoot for Paani foundation and will be dedicating two months to look into the work personally.

Paani Foundation is a non-profit organisation set up by the team of Satyamev Jayate to fight against drought in various drought-prone areas in the country. On behalf of Paani Foundation, Aamir Khan is inviting people to join the efforts to make Maharashtra drought-free and to contribute to it by being a 'Jalmitra'.

Aamir Khan took to his official Twitter handle on Monday and posted a video. In the one minute video, he can be seen sitting in a field under a tree, asking some simple questions from the viewers.

He asks viewers questions like "When was the last time you experienced the joy of smelling the fragrance of the soil and roamed around & enjoyed the breeze in the air? When was the last time you extended friendship to someone staying far away from the city and in a village?"

In the video, the actor says "Walk shoulder to shoulder with our brothers and sisters in villages to contribute to their upliftment. Come forward to help the villages. I assure you that when you return home at the end of the day, you will realise that actually, the village has helped you.

Paani Foundation's Satyameva Jayate Water Cup, which is an initiative of Aamir Khan, has also grown to achieve what they were set out to in the last three years. Water Cup started with 3 Talukas in 2016. Water cup will be having almost 1/4th of Maharashtra participating this year with over 9000 villages from 75 talukas competing for the Cup.

Considering Aamir is one of the most influential voices in the country, his message is bound to lead to a lot of aid for the villagers and the movement.
