Xiaomi Launches Redmi Note 5 And Redmi Note 5 Pro In India

Xiaomi launched Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 pro in India on Wednesday unveiling the company's first MI TV alongside.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 successor, the Redmi Note 5, is equipped with a 5.99-inch full-screen display, packed with 4000mAh battery. At a price range of Rs 9,999, the company has provided its customers with a 12-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera. This model will run on current dated Snapdragon 625 processor.

Interestingly, the new 'Pro' version of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will have a vertical dual camera setup, as in iPhone X.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro’s camera is anticipated to be 'India's camera beast and will be priced competitively to take on the likes of Honor 7X and Honor 9 Lite.

Talking about specifications, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, which will make it the first device sporting the chipset in the country.

In fact, the Redmi Note 5 Pro will become the first smartphone globally to debut the Snapdragon 636 SoC. It sports a 12-megapixel primary sensor at the back accompanied by a 5-megapixel secondary sensor. The primary sensor will come with f/2.2 aperture while the secondary sensor with f/2.0 aperture. For snapshooters, the Chinese company has bumped the camera sensor to 20-megapixel and it will come with a front flash cam.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro will have the similar display as Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. The screen resolution of 1080x2160 pixels full-HD+ makes the pro version more dynamic and updated. The handset will come with on-screen buttons.

Under the hood, the Redmi Note 5 Pro will come with a 4000mAh battery which will be non-removable. The company is going with three variants for the Redmi Note 5 Pro which include 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM with 64GB storage. There will be fingerprint sensor at the back panel. The Redmi Note 5 Pro will run on MIUI 9 based on Android Nougat. It will come with Micro-USB and unlikely to support fast charging.
