Whatsapp has rolled out a new feature for Android and iOS that allows group admin to restrict participants from sending messages to the group. The Android version 2.18.201 and 2.18.70 iOS update will give you the new update feature ‘Send Messages’ in WhatsApp groups.

‘Send Messages’ feature can be used for various purposes. The new feature allows the admin to send a message without interruption. Admin can block participants from sending messages if they don't want anyone to text in the group.

The company had installed new features in past few months that has improved the groups experience for users. These features have improved group descriptions, catch up and security of the users.

Whatsapp in a blog said, "Today, we're launching a new group setting where the only admin is able to send messages to a group. One way people use groups is to receive important announcements and information, including parents and teachers at schools, community centres, and non-profit organizations. We've introduced this new setting so admin can have better tools for these use cases."
