Huawei Launches Y9 (2018) Smartphone With Quadcam

Chinese company Huawei has launched its new smartphone Huawei Y9 (2018), a mid-range smartphone at an event in Thailand.

Huawei Y9 smartphone is equipped with four cameras and will be available in the market in black, gold and blue colour variants. The smartphone has internals similar to previously launched Huawei Mate 10 Lite and Honor 9i.

Prices and availability details of the phone are yet to be revealed. It is not yet known when this phone will be available in nations other than Thailand.

Talking about the specifications of the new Huawei Y9, the smartphone has a 5.93-inch full view HD Plus display (1080x2160 pixels) with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The phone will run on Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.o platform. The specialty of the phone will be its camera section as it is equipped with four cameras. It has a 13-megapixel primary image sensor with 2-megapixel secondary sensor dual back camera accompanied with an LED flash and 16-megapixel primary sensor with 2-megapixel secondary sensor dual front camera setup for a selfie. Under the hood, there is a Kirin 659 SoC along with 8 processing cores at a clock-speed of 2.3GHz, paired with 3GB of RAM.

The phone has an onboard storage of 32GB which is expandable up to 256 GB via microSD card. If we talk about connectivity then the phone has regular connectivity options such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, VoLTE and fingerprint sensor. With a battery of 4000 mAh, the phone weighs 170 grams and comes with a 7.9mm thickness.
