After making a gigantic entry into the Indian market, the Chinese tech company Coolpad has now launched its flagship smartphone, Cool Play 6 here. Three months after the initial launch in China, the company has brought the smartphone to India at an affordable price of Rs 14,999.
Buyers will have two colour options to choose from when the product finally launches in India from September 4, available exclusively via Amazon India.
The new Cool Play 6 has a 5.5 inch full HD (1080X1920 pixels) display running on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat, however, it will also get the update when Google finally launched the 8.0 version of the operating system.
The new smartphone runs with a 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 653 (four 1.95GHz cores + four 1.44GHz cores) processor and has 6GB of RAM along with 67 GB inbuilt storage which is further expandable via micro SD card.
In terms of connectivity, the smartphone is a dual sim - both nano – hybrid setup with 4G VoLTE that also has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and USB Type-C options.
The Coolpad Cool Play 6 comes with a 13-megapixel primary camera with back sensors and f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone, dual-LED flash which supports HDR and 4K videos. However, the front camera has an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture.
On top of all these features, the phone has a long backup with a 4000mAh battery, which the company claims is equal to 4500mah battery thanks to its software optimisations.
Launching the smartphone in India, the company's India head said, "Year 2017 has been a game changer for Coolpad in India and we continue to put our resources in the country with a plan to achieve 50% growth to extend our market share to 6% of the total market in India. With this launch we not only plan to lead the online space but also to make a bigger impact on the offline market in India.”
