As Bharti Janata Party (BJP) leaders keep on supporting Ram temple Construction in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath  said, “This time after Diwali, construction of Ram Temple will begin.”

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister also appealed to light a Diya for Lord Ram on November 6.

“Light a Diya for Lord Ram this time, work there will start very soon. We have to take this up after Diwali,” Adityanath said.

Commenting on the construction of Ram temple, another BJP leader and Union Minister Uma Bharati on Saturday said, “I have actively participated in Ram Janambhoomi Andolan and hearing of a case is also underway in connection with it. And I am proud of it. The construction of Ram Temple is my dream and whatever initiative is required from my end I am ready for it.”

Nearly a week ago, the Indian National Congress slammed BJP over polarising views on the Ram Temple issue ahead of Lok Sabha polls when the matter is sub judice in the Supreme Court.

Former Finance minister P Chidambaram had said, "Well this is a familiar story. Every five years before elections, the BJP tries to polarise views on Ram Mandir."

Chidambaram was replying to a question on a statement by BJP President Amit Shah and Adityanath that the Supreme Court has given its verdict in the Sabarimala temple issue and Union Minister Giriraj Singh saying that the "patience" of Hindus was running out over the Ram temple issue.

The Supreme Court bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi had listed hearing in January 2019 on a batch of petitions challenging the 2010 Allahabad High Court verdict trifurcating the disputed site in Ayodhya into three parts for Ram Lalla, Nirmohi Akhara and the original Muslim litigant.
