Time Magazine Includes Virat Kohli, Roger Federer In List Of 100 Most Influential People 2018

Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli and the most decorated men’s tennis player of all time Roger Federer have been included in the 100 Most Influential of 2018 list by Time Magazine. The list came out on Thursday.

Virat Kohli burst onto the scene after leading the India U-19 team to glory by winning the World Cup in 2008 has since reaffirmed himself as one of the best batsman the sport has ever seen.

One of the people he looked up to and the most decorated cricketer of all time, Sachin Tendulkar, had some words to say for the intense Delhi born Indian skipper.

“My father always told me that if I focused on what I was doing, over time, detractors would become followers. Virat seems to have a similar outlook when it comes to his game,” he said.

Former World No. 1 and 20-time Grand Slam winner Roger Federer has laid down the foundation of modern day tennis in the hearts of all the fans around the world. His grit, suave and exceptional talent made him stay leaps and bounds ahead of his competition for most of his competitive career. Still, at the age of 36, Federer is going strong and is looking to reclaim the top stop in rankings from his greatest rival, Rafael Nadal.

Microsoft founder Bill Gates spoke of the greatness that Federer is.

The list also includes the likes of basketball star Kevin Durant and one of the most inspiring stories of American Football player JJ Watt.
