UEFA Europa League: Arsenal, AC Milan Win The Away Leg, Napoli Stumbles At Home

Arsenal eased to a 3-0 win against Swedish minnows Ostersunds with the help of goals from Mesut Ozil and Nacho Monreal in the first leg of the last-32 tie on Thursday.

Left-back Nacho Monreal opened the scoring for The Gunners in the 13th minute latching onto the ball after an inexplicable slip from goalkeeper Aly Keita. The visitors were gifted a second goal in the 24th minute as Henrikh Mkhitaryan's low cross was turned into his own net by defender Sotirios Papagiannopoulos.

Even though Ostersunds coach Graham Potter tried to get back in the game with two half-time changes, it was a Mesut Ozil goal before the hour mark that virtually ended the tie. Even though the Swedish side did get an injury-time penalty, the Arsenal keeper David Ospina saved it. They carry a 3 goal cushion into the next leg.

Resurrecting Italian giants AC Milan strolled past Bulgarian side Ludogorets Razgard with a 3-0 win on Thursday.

Their manager Gennaro Gattuso was left disgruntled and said "I'm a bit angry, we could do a lot better. Having fast players they put us in trouble."

Elsewhere, Borussia Dortmund clinched an important 3-2 win over Italian side Atlanta at home, whereas Serie A leaders Napoli faltered to second placed German team RB Leipzig at home. They will have to overturn a 3-1 deficit in the return leg.

The second leg of these ties will be on February 21-22.
