UEFA Champions League: Manchester United Travel To Sevilla FC For First Leg Of Round Of 16 Tie

Three-time Champions League winner Manchester United travel to Spanish side Sevilla on Wednesday. This is their return to knock-out stage since 2014.

United manager Jose Mourinho is wary of dangerous opposition in Sevilla with his squad plagued with injuries. Nevertheless, they are expected to overcome a Sevilla side who currently sit fifth in La Liga and came through their group with the lowest points tally of any team to reach the last 16.

Amid criticism from Mourinho of his recent performances, Paul Pogba is back in the United squad after illness kept him out of the FA Cup win at Huddersfield Town. Mourinho also expects January signing Alexis Sanchez will be looking to seize his chance in Champions League and fulfil his ambitions in this tournament.

Sevilla has changed their coach since the group stage from Argentine Eduardo Berizzo to Italian Vincenzo Montella.

This will be Vincenzo Montella’s second game as coach in Champions League. The Spanish side had previously won UEFA Europa League from 2014-2016.
