Ace shuttler PV Sindhu has won the Silver medal in the Dubai Super Series. She lost to Japan's Akane Yamaguchi in a nail-biting tournament.

Sindhu was close to becoming the first Indian to win the BWF Superseries title. Ranked Number three in the World Sindhu lost to World Number two Akane Yamaguchi of Japan in a tightly contested match. The first two games were one sided with Sindhu winning the first 21-15 and Yamaguchi coming back hard in second game 21-12. The third and the final game saw a nail biting contest between the two great players of the game.

At one point both the players were 19-19.

Sindhu seemed nervous and a bit tired. Yamaguchi won the last two points thanks to Sindhu’s consecutive shots that couldn’t clear the net.
