MS Dhoni Is Back After 696 Days To Lead India, In His 200th ODI As Captain

After 21 months since he left the captaincy, Mahendra Singh Dhoni was handed again Indian cricket team's leadership against Afghanistan in the Super-4 match played at Dubai International Stadium on Tuesday.

It is learnt that it is also Dhoni’s 200th ODI as captain of India in an ODI. According to media reports, MS Dhoni during the toss said, "It's destiny. Good to complete 200 ODIs."

Men in Blue will definitely want to maintain their 100 per cent record in the Asia Cup 2018 when they take on Afghanistan in an otherwise dead rubber on Tuesday.

As far as Team India was concerned Stand-in Captain Rohit Sharma was rested along with vice-captain Shikhar Dhawan, Jasprit Bumrah, Yuvi Chahal, Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

KL Rahul, Manish Pandey, S.Kaul, Deepak Chahar, Khaleel Ahmed came in as replacement of the rested players.       

The Afghans, on the other hand, will be looking to end on a high after two heartbreaking losses in the Super 4 matches against Pakistan and Bangladesh. They lost both the matches in the last over.
