Mithali Raj's Proud Response To Shah Rukh Khan's Wish Of Seeing Her As Indian Men's Team Coach

Ever since Indian women's cricket team played in World Cup finals, the proud skipper Mithali Raj has been getting the well-deserved attention from all over the nation. The lady has now garnered another admirer in form of Bollywood's legendary actor Shah Rukh Khan.

The cricketer recently made an appearance on King Khan's television show TED Talks India: Nayi Soch where she shared many of her secrets and opinions. Her thoughts left the actor in awe of her strong personality and ambitious mindset, who praised her through his kind words.

SRK expressed his heartfelt desire of watching Mithali as a coach to Indian cricket men's team and the female cricketer's graceful response made the ones in presence salute the inspiring lady. To Shah Rukh's statement, "I want to see you (Mithali) as the coach of the men's cricket team one day," Raj responded, "I always want to give my best."

Many of Mithali's teammates have pointed her habit of reading books during the match. Acknowledging the quirk, the cricketer said, "When you are on the field, and everyone is looking up to you and the entire team to bring back the trophy, (then) it is not just about the game."

She further added, "So, it is necessary for us to stay focused... and we all have our own ways to ensure we give our best on the field. I read books to get rid of pressure during a match. It does help me to keep calm and encourage a good performance."

World's leading run-scorer in ODIs, Mithali has scored over 1000-run in the World Cup games. The determined woman led Indian team through Women's World Cup last year, taking her team to the finals, where they lost to England and became an overnight sensation.
