Indian Ace Boxer and five times world champion M.C Mary Kom has pulled out of the Asian Games due to a shoulder problem and she is training hard for her sixth World Championship crown.

Marry Kom pulled out of the Asian Games and is expected to be back in action at the World Championship to be held from November 15 in New Delhi.

Talking to media, the 35-year-old champion said, “If I am not getting any injury and if I am training regularly, giving 100% in my training, I will definitely perform and I am going to win the world championship. If something happens then I can’t say. But I am healing well”.

She further added, “I am training smartly for the World Championship. Six-seven years ago we would train for two-three hours but now it is not required. We are able to do everything in an hour of training. Staying fit is very important for a comeback so I would say one should be clever with the training”.

The CWG Gold medallist further shared her views on the difficulty of being a sportsperson and a mother. She said, “My children saw the Commonwealth Games and felt very happy. They want me to do well but miss that connection with their mother.
