The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman, Shahryar Khan, on Wednesday wrote a letter to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to make the Indo-Pak cricket series possible in December in the UAE, The Express Tribune
“Politics is vulnerable to highs and lows and the sport of cricket should be kept away from it," he wrote in the letter, adding that, “Cricket is a tool to formulate peace between the countries.”
Therefore, Shahryar wrote, ‘Anurag Thakur, secretary BCCI, should make the series possible in December’.
On August 23, BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur made it clear that there would be no cricketing ties with Pakistan until they stop giving shelter to gangster Dawood Ibrahim and not make attempts to indulge in dialogue with separatist leaders.
