Ligue 1: Neymar Scores Twice For PSG In Win Over Nice

Brazilian ace forward Neymar Jr. scored twice as Paris Saint-Germain, managed to record an eighth consecutive Ligue 1 win with s scoreline of 3-0 over Nice.

According to media reports, Neymar on Saturday opened the scoring 22 minutes into the game at Allianz Riviera on a remarkable right-footed shot from outside the box.

French midfielder Christopher Nkunku then doubled PSG's lead just 42 seconds into the second half on a left-footed shot from inside the area, finishing off a play that his superstar countryman Kylian Mbappe had set up with a remarkable run.

PSG's third goal came on a rapid counterattack that was led by midfielder Adrien Rabiot and Mbappe and ended with a Neymar finish into a virtually empty net in second-half stoppage time to extend the leaders' advantage at the top to nine points.

It is learnt that Nice's situation became even bleaker when midfielder Wylan Cyprien was sent off for a second yellow card in the 59th minute.

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting had a goal disallowed as PSG tried for a third, but it took the visitors until stoppage time to wrap things up, Neymar slotting in from Mbappe's square ball to add further gloss to a terrific display.

PSG strengthened its lead in the French league with the win and currently has 24 points, while Nice is in 11th place with 10.
