Ind Vs WI: Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar Recalled For Final 3 ODIs, No Place For Shami

The national selectors on Thursday announced squad for the final three One-day internationals against the Windies and recalled white ball specialists Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar while resting pacer Mohammed Shami.

The visitors on Wednesday pulled off a heart-stopping last ball draw in the second ODI after India comprehensively won the first ODI in Guwahati on Sunday.

Both Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar were rested for the opening two ODIs after impressing for India during the Asia Cup 2018 in the Dubai last month.

Shami and Umesh both underperformed in the first two ODIs against the Windies but the former got the selectors' axe.

Khaleel Ahmed, however, was retained in the squad alongside Umesh, who on Wednesday leaked 13 runs off the final over of the second ODI that ended in a draw.

India won the first ODI by eight wickets but Shai Hope helped the Windies salvage a draw in the second ODI with a last-ball boundary.

The third ODI will take place on October 27 at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. The fourth ODI will be played at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on October 29 with Greenfield International Stadium (Thiruvananthapuram) hosting the final match of the ODI series on November 1.
