ISSF World Cup: Manu Bhaker Wins Second Gold In 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team Event

Teenage sensation Manu Bhaker won her second successive gold medal at ISSF World Cup on Tuesday. Partnering with Om Prakash Mitharval, the Indian teenager clinched the 10m air pistol mixed team title. She is 16 years of age and is an eleventh standard student.

She became the youngest gold medal winner for India at shooting world cup on Monday by clinching the gold medal in the women's 10m Air Pistol event at the ISSF shooting World Cup in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Also, the duo of Deepak Kumar and Mehuli Ghosh won the country its sixth medal of the competition – a bronze in the 10m air rifle mixed team event.

Manu Bhaker who took to shooting a little over two years ago has defied experience by winning two medals at the world stage.

Last December, she won the 10m air pistol event, usurping the much more experienced competitors like Heena Sidhu at the 61st National Shooting Championship in Thiruvananthapuram where she broke Heena's long-standing national record.

She won a staggering 15 medals, including nine gold, during the tournament.

India's medal count stood at three gold and four bronze medals for a total of seven podium finishes.
