IPL Auction 2019: Unadkat, The Most Expensive Player Bought For Rs 8.4 Crore To RR, Yuvraj & McCullum Unsold

Indian Premier League (IPL) auction for the 12th edition of the Indian Premier League was held in Jaipur on December 18.

A maximum of 70 slots were available to be filled, with 50 of those being for Indian players.

The 8 IPL teams Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, King XI Punjab, Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indian and Kolkata Knight Riders will pick the players to add to their core team.

Kings XI Punjab had the maximum budget available for the auction, with Rs. 36.20 crores in their purse.

Chennai Super Kings, the defending champions, have the least budget of Rs. 8.4 crores having released just two players from their winning squad.

Unadkat became the costliest pick among the Indians as snapped up by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 8 crore.

Mohit Sharma returned to a familiar dug out as his former team CSK snapped him up for INR 5 Crore.

Windies wicketkeeper and former Mumbai Indians player Nicholas Pooran sold for Rs 4.20 crore by KXIP.

Axar Patel, with a base price of Rs 1 crore, sold for Rs 5 crore to Delhi Capitals.

Carlos Brathwaite sold for Rs 5 crore to Kolkata Knight Riders.

Hetmyer, with a base price of 50 lakh, sold to RCB for Rs 4.2 crore.

Ishant Sharma sold to Delhi Capitals for Rs 1.10 crore.

Another Indian seamer Mohammed Shami Sold to KXIP for Rs 4.80 crore.

The Indian all-rounder, Yuvraj Singh who once fetched a deal of Rs 16 crore in the IPL, remained unsold this time.

Rahul Sharma, Adam Zampa, Khary Pierre, Brendon McCullum and Fawad Ahmed too went unsold.
