#INDvPAK Indian Women’s Cricket Team Beats Pakistan To Reach Asia Cup Final

The Indian Women’s Cricket Team on Saturday thrashed rivals Pakistan to enter the finals of the ongoing Women’s Asia Cup T20 tournament in Malaysia. The team has won all the six Asia Cup titles and will now play to win it for the record seventh time. The finals of the Asia Cup T20 will be played in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.

The much-anticipated Indo-Pak game turned out to be a one-sided match with Pakistan posting mere 72 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. Choosing to bat after winning the toss, Pakistan had a devastating inning with just two of their players were able to score in double digits.

Ekta Bisht had a fantastic spell with the ball. She took 3 wickets in four overs giving just 14 runs. Bisht was named the Player of the match.

India too had a tough start to the game losing Mithali Raj’s wicket in the first over for a duck. The team was struggling at 5/1 at the end of two overs. Deepti Sharma departed in the third over for a duck.

Things changed when skipper Harmanpreet came out to bat. Smriti and Harmanpreet anchored the Indian inning and led the team to victory. Smriti was not out at 38 runs (40 balls) while Harmanpreet scored 34 runs (49 runs).
