INDvNZ 2nd T20I: India Restrict Kiwis For 158/8 In Auckland, Krunal Bags 3 Wickets

New Zealand won the toss and opted to bat first in their bid to seal the series at Eden Park itself. India slumped to an 80-run loss in the opening fixture their worst ever T20 defeat and are desperate to redeem themselves and keep the three-match series alive.

India needs 159 runs in 20 overs to win the match and also stay alive in the series.

The hosts looked very confident after a thumping 80 runs victory in the 1st match.

Colin de Grandhomme played an outstanding knock of 50 runs in 28 balls with four sixes and a four. Ross Taylor also played a sensible inning of 42 runs in 36 balls.

Krunal Pandya bagged 3 wickets, highest for the Indian team.

At the top of the order, Krunal and Bhuvneshwar inflicted the early damage to leave New Zealand four down after winning the toss. Khaleel added to the pressure with two key wickets as well.

Kiwis did not find a good opening as Tim Seifert fell on 12 runs. Munro also fell on 12. Williamson was looking in good touch but he also got out on 20.

Later, India also started well as skipper Rohit and Dhawan are playing really well and sending the ball out of the park.

Both New Zealand and India named unchanged teams for the fixture, with the tourists fielding eight specialist batsmen in order to exploit Eden Park’s short boundaries.
