Indian Pacer Umesh Yadav Claims 100 Test Wickets

Umesh Yadav became the 8th Indian pacer to take 100 test wickets. He reached the landmark in the ongoing test match against Afghanistan at Chinnaswamy stadium on Friday with the dismissal of Rahmat Shah.

The 30-year-old bowler has played 37 test matches. He made his Test debut against West Indies in 2011 and became the 22nd bowler to claim 100 wickets.

The best  performance of this fast bowler was against Australia where he took 5 wickets while giving only 93 runs at Perth


The bowler has registered his name among the elite list of legendary bowlers which include Kapil Dev and Zaheer Khan, who have acquired 434 wickets in 131 test matches and 311 wickets in 92 test matches respectively.

Anil Kumble is the highest wicket taker in test cricket with 619 wickets in 132 matches

Umesh picked one wicket in the first inning of the historic test, while Ashwin shined with his performance , he took 4 wickets restricting the visitors to humilating total of 109.
