India vs West Indies 1st Test Match: India Wins Easily By Innings & 272 Runs

After posting a total of 649 runs in the first inning of the first test match against West Indies, Indian won the match on Saturday by innings and 272 runs on the third day of the match.

With this win, India is 1-0 ahead in a two match series. After winning the toss at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Captain Virat Kohli opted for batting first that turned out really well for the team.

Batting first, Indian cricket team had declared at 649/9, a mammoth total to take lead.

From India side three players had thrashed West Indies bowling line up and scored a ton. Kohli scored 139 runs, Prithvi Shaw scored 134 runs and Ravindra Jadega scored 100 runs (not out).

While Cheteshwar Pujara scored 86 runs, Ajinkya Rahane scored 41 runs, Rishabh Pant scored 92 runs,  Ravichandran Ashwin scored 7 runs, Kuldeep Yadav scored 12 runs, Umesh Yadav 22 runs and Mohammed Shami scored 2 runs.

After showing the batting stength, Indian side have not compromised on bowling part and bowled out West Indies at 181 runs in the first Inning and 196 runs in the second inning of the match, thereby registering a first a biggest win.

Bowling immensely well a slow left-arm chinaman bowler, Kuldeep Yadav took 5 wickets and Ravindra jadega took 3 wickets in the second inning of west Indies.

In the first Inning of West Indies, Ravichandran Ashwin took 4 wickets, Mohmmad Shami took 2 wickets, Umesh Yadav took 1 wicket, Ravindra Jadeja took 1 wicket and Kuldeep Yadav took 1 wicket. 

From West Indies side Kieran Powell scored 83 runs, highest in the second inning of West Indies.
