India Thrashes Afghanistan In The Historic One-Off Test

India beat Afghanistan in the historic one-off test match played at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru from an innings and 262 runs.

The strong Indian batting lineup scored a huge total of 474 runs in which Shikhar and Vijay started well with a brilliant knock of 105 and 107 respectively. Hardik Pandya's splendorous knock of 71 runs guided India to 400 plus Score.


The Indian bowlers bang the Afghanistan team in the first innings. Ashwin took four wickets at the cost of just 27 runs, while Ishant and Jadeja shared 2 wickets each.

Ashwin and Jadeja combined to pick up the last four wickets to fall quickly as Afghanistan was snuffed out for a paltry 109.

India, with a lead of massive 365 runs built up pressure on the touring side, as they again lost early wickets, following on. The Afghanistan side just managed to put 103 runs in 38.4 over on the board in the second innings, as the spinning duo of Ashwin and Jadeja smashed the Afghanistan batsman with their spin.

Jadeja took 4 wickets in the second innings. Overall, it was a bad performance by the visitors in the inaugural test.
