From Car Reveal to Helmet, A Weekly Formula 1 Round Up

With the new Formula 1 season only 40 days away now, let's take a look at few updates ahead of the season.

The big boys namely Mercedes, Ferrari, McLaren and Red Bull will reveal their cars next week. Testing for the 2018 season starts on February 26 at Circuit de Cataluyna in Barcelona. McLaren has ended its testy relationship with Honda and joined hands with Renault as engine providers. The first race will be on March 25 in Melbourne, Australia. The cars this season will have a protective covering in the shape of a Halo.

Two new drivers will be on the grid, namely Sergey Sirotkin for Williams Racing and Charles le Clerc for Alfa-Romeo Sauber.

Red Bull teammates Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo revealed their helmet for the season.

Germany's Hockenheimring makes a return to the calendar as well as France's Circuit Paul Ricard. Haas becomes the first team to reveal their car with Halo.

Finally, there will be seven different tyre compounds this season.
