French Open: Serena Williams Ready To Face Maria Sharapova

Serena Williams, who is ranked 453rd in the world is all set for the big match against her long-time rival  Maria Sharapova in the fourth round of the French Open tournament on Monday. Williams is out for her first grand slam since she gave birth to her daughter.

William has no hesitation after a strong win against Julia Georges where she played powerfully for her 6-3, 6-4 win.

After the win, Williams said, “For once, I have nothing to lose.” The win was under an hour after Sharapova bashed Karolina Pliskova 6-2, 6-1 under an hour.

Sharapova in her autobiography has mentioned that reason for Williams has dominated her in 19 out of 21 matches over 14 years was because of Williams defeat in Wimbledon final, she cried in the locker room.

Williams in a conference replied that the comments were “100 percent hearsay” and “a little disappointing".

She further said “I have cried a lot of time in the locker room after losing. I think it's normal it shows the passion about the game the will you have to go out there and do the best.” She further added that it would be more shocking that if she would not be emotional.

It would be interesting to see the rivals against each other on Monday.
