A terrible incident took place at the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Russia. Julieth Gonzalez Theran, who works for Deutsche Welle Spanish news channel was sexually abused while she was live on-air.

The incident took place on June 15 when the reporter was reporting live from Saransk when a man suddenly entered the frame, groped her and quickly ran off after kissing her.

The reporter was on camera while the incident took place. She, however, remained calm and finished her report.

The journalist shared a video of the incident on Instagram and wrote “We do not deserve this treatment. We are equally as professional and deserving. I share the joy of football but we must identify the limits of affection and harassment.”

The accused has not been identified yet.

Theran, in a statement to Deutsche Welle, said, "I had been at the scene for two hours to prepare for the broadcast and there had been no interruptions. When we went live, this fan took advantage of the situation. But afterwards, when I checked to see if he was still there, he was gone."
