FIFA 2018: Viewers To Witness Some Spectacular Thrillers This Weekend

The action on the pitch is likely to set the stadiums on fire this weekend as the viewers will witness two thunderous encounters on Sunday. The 2010 champions Spain will take on host Russia while Croatia will face Denmark in the knockout matches.

Spain vs Russia: Both the teams have reached the knockouts through contrasting paths. The La Roja ended as group B topper whereas Russia finished second in the group after losing the last match against Uruguay 3-0.  

Spain has dominated the opponents having won four previous meetings and never tasted defeat. The Spanish team will try to continue their dominance, on the other hand, the host will be prepared to turn the tables to their side.

In the next match, Croatia will take on Denmark in the fourth knockout match. Croatia has won all the group stage matches while Denmark ended second in the group table winning just one match.

Both the teams have won two matches each and drawn one in their previous five meetings.

The President of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic is travelling to Nizhny Novgorod to enjoy Vatreni's clash against Denmark. She shared a post on Facebook that reads "Great atmosphere from early morning. Let's go for victory!"
