Uruguay will meet Portugal in the Knockout encounter at the Fisht Stadium on Saturday. They have never met in a World Cup match. Uruguay and Portugal will play for the third time after two friendly contests back in 1966 and 1972.

Uruguay has qualified to the round of 16 with a flawless record in the group stage. They finished as group A toppers winning all three matches without conceding a goal.

Portugal also looks well prepared and will come out to shine in the match against Uruguay. The team is growing in strength at the tournament but must improve in the transition from midfield to attack. The star player Cristiano Ronaldo has been in form with five goals that include a hat-trick against Spain.

Portugal coach Fernando Santos said, "We want to be in the quarter-final and we have an opponent who wants the same. On the pitch, we can make a difference. I believe we are going to score and that we will put on the field what we have prepared. I believe that our players are prepared."
